ABSTRACT

The project entitled “Material Product Rate Analysis” deals with various levels of analysis.To study,analyze

the existing source databases of material management system.Collecting the Information   and           Business

Requirement and its specifications from the organisation.Study and understand the existing System information.

This Information becomes the basis for the rational decision making to  facilitate the decision making process.

The Decision support  system(DSS) was developed.

To interact with decision makers for analyzing their business plans and decision making the material management

company .Here we analyzed required Material needs for manufacturing the electronic devices and its order product

rate based measures.According to those measures the material management company maintains the systematic approach

to purchase (products) the material.The analysis process could start from the existing summary information of material

management company.According to that information we design the source database by using the erwin 4.0 tool generates the SQL

Schema for our required Erwin Designer tool.The Erwin 4.0 tool generates the sql Schema for our required ER-model and then loads the required data into the source Database.Now we are applying the Data ware housing concepts for the multiDimensional approaches  for designing the star schema of a cube, for  the multi Dimensional approaches for designing the star schema of a cube,for that we are using another tool is informatics.To define the ETL(extract,transform& load) process algorithm creating

cubes for multi-dimensional reports generation.

Then we implement the Online-Analytical process(OLAP)  for designing the business related reports to analyze (product rates)

total product rate,maximum product rate,minimum product rate and average product rate.

I  intend to do this project because my area of interest is in Dataware house.I am familiar about

the logics and terms related to dataware house.I am realy intrested in designing dataware house applications.

I just want to give some features regarding my project.

1)Provides update information about the issues with different status from high level to bottom level

2)Helps employees to complete the isuues with co-ordination and change the status  .

3)provides easy interaction between the employees and the administrators to know that the given

schedule is going smooth or not.

Repository database, need the  ODBC connection for each sorce database.

Target Databases,need ODBC connection for each target database.

the Informatica client uses two software layers to communicate with each source,and target ,

and repository database.

APPLICATIONS AND FUTURE SCOPE:

This project is developed to support concurrent request and it  has no manage  multiple

request simultaniously.It is useful to keep tract  of data very securable and it should

not create any data loses.It allows us to create  the administrator for a project and

he/she can assign new data mart roles to the registered  database on a project.

This project can also be used in BANK to study and analyse the existing source

database of a BANK.
